The House on the Mountain is located in a small and quiet security complex, in the heart of Tamboerskloof. The house is halfway to Signal Hill. It is surrounded by the Cape Town Nature Reserve on three sides and the fourth side overlooks the City as well as Table Mountain.
It is only 4 minutes driving to De Waterkant gay village and less than 10 minutes driving to Camps Bay beach and Clifton Beaches. Clifton 3rd beach is predominantly gay and is completely protected from the wind. It faces west so the sunsets are stunning, setting around 8 p.m. in summer.
Sandy Bay, the nude beach, is certainly a natural wonder just a little off the beaten track but well worth the effort once you get there. It has a wide white sandy beach surrounded by granite boulders and indigenous Cape shrub-land.
About 3 stations with the bus to the city center with the gay area and gay sauna, about 4-5 minutes by Uber (3-4 Euros)
